Real truth comes from God’s word. God’s word is our authority, our conscious, and our guide in all things. We want to be firm where the Bible is firm and flexible where it is flexible. Let us not forget 1 Corinthians 10:31 – “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Whether you go to church or attend church online, make sure that your motivation is the glory of God!
Ask Yourself Why You are Attending Online Church
The Bible teaches us to do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit. So, if you are staying at home to attend church online only because it is easy for you, then that is not for the glory of God. A lot of people choose to attend online church because they don’t have to get dressed, deal with the crowd, or leave the house. This does not seem to meet the scriptural qualification for how you should make decisions.
Only God can read hearts. Men can not. Therefore, whether you attend church in-person or online is between you and your creator. A lot of people attend church online because doing so is more practical for them. Perhaps they have physical limitations, obligations, or a situation that reasonably restricts them from going to church. In such cases, we are thankful to have technology that not only allows us to listen to church on the phone but to also watch church on any device!
Attend Online Church with Sound of Heaven (SOH)
If your attitude is in-line with the spirit of Christ Jesus, and attending church is not a viable option for you, then we encourage you to attend the SOH church online. Hebrews 10:25 says, “…not forsaking our own assembling together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another;” It is clear from the scripture, as well as many others, that our Heavenly Father wants us to assemble.
If possible, consider attending our online church with other worshipers rather than doing it by yourself? This way, you will be assembling with other like-minded believers. Also, remember that you have unique gifts that God wants you to discover, develop, and deploy in his ministry. Indeed, 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” You have gifts that God wants you to use within the church, so it’s important to attend church whenever you can.
Join Us Online or in the Flesh
With that said; we don’t “go to church,” we are the church! We are also commanded to be in a relationship with and under spiritual authority. The reason that we assemble to worship God together is to give God His due, and it’s also for our own benefit. Still, if you can’t attend church in person, please, attend church online. Hear the word of God and see God’s worshipers. This way, you can join us in spirit even though you can’t be present in the flesh.
