Wisdom is just the start of it…
Knowing what to do is one thing, understanding it and actually doing it is another. I specifically remember times in my life when I knew what the right thing was, but still choose to do something else. It was selfish and honestly…dumb. Why would I, knowing the right thing to do, still choose to do the opposite? That is the million dollar question.
Job 28:25-28- “When He imparted weight to the wind. And meted out the waters by measure, When He set a limit for the rain. And a course for the thunderbolt, Then He saw it and declared it; He established it and also searched it out. “And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.’”
The first thing that stood out to be here was that as soon as He saw it, He declared it. Many times when we see what God is doing we get excited, but do we start decreeing and declaring? Do we start preparing in the spirit by laying it down in prayer and seeking guidance for next steps? As soon as God shows you what He is doing…start building it with your words!
The fear of the Lord, that is wisdom. That is just the beginning. Knowing what to do is just the start of it, but actually doing it…that is true understanding. You know what you need to do and are actually doing it. I pray that in every area of your life you will begin to do what you know you should be doing. That you break every bad relationship, every thought in your mind that is contrary to your identity, and every bondage that holds you back. That you move forward in your destiny. That you seek the wisdom and then apply it with the understanding. It’s your time!
