A night for middle school and high school students to step into worship, real teaching, and friendships that actually go somewhere. Show up. Make some noise. Meet Jesus.
Teens are dealing with more than most people give them credit for. School pressure. Friend drama. Identity questions. Phones that never stop buzzing. Real questions about God and faith that nobody is helping them work through.
Wave Youth Group is a night carved out just for them. Loud worship. Real teaching that meets them where they're at. Games that make the room come alive. And friendships with other teens who are figuring it out too. Once a month they get to be teens, get into the Word, and walk out a little more rooted than when they came in.
Youth group was everything for me in middle school and high school. It was the place I learned who I was, who God was, and what I was actually called to. That's why I do this. Every teen deserves that.
Apostle Rachel has a real heart for the next generation. She grew up where her own youth group shaped who she became, and now she pours that same investment back into middle school and high school students at Sound of Heaven.
She brings depth, real talk, and the kind of energy teens actually respond to. Wave Youth Group is her ministry to make sure every teen on Long Island has a space where they're seen, known, and challenged to step into who God created them to be.
A glimpse of what happens when a room full of middle schoolers and high schoolers show up ready to worship, listen, and connect.
Every Wave night follows the same rhythm. Energy at the start, depth in the middle, friendship at the end. Here's how a typical night flows.
Doors open early so teens can roll in, grab snacks, find their friends, and shake off the week. No pressure. Just space to land before the night kicks off.
We always kick the night off with games that break the ice and bring the energy. The kind of fun that makes new kids feel like they've been coming for months.
Loud, real, alive. Worship at Wave is not background music. It's a moment where teens get to encounter God for themselves, not because someone told them to.
Apostle Rachel teaches in a way that meets teens where they actually live. Identity, purpose, faith, friendships, family, the stuff they're really dealing with. No fluff.
Teens break into smaller groups to talk about what they just heard, ask the questions on their minds, and get to know each other for real. This is where friendships get built.
One more round of hangout and snacks before parents pull up. By the time the night ends, teens leave knowing they were seen, heard, and a little more rooted in who Jesus is.
Every teen deserves a place where they're seen, where they belong, and where they get to meet Jesus for themselves. That's the whole point.
