Deliverance can sound intimidating. Here it is quiet and pastoral. We sit with you, open the Scriptures, pray, and help you trade the lies you have been living under for what God actually says about you.
When most people hear the word deliverance, they picture a movie scene. Shouting, a crowd watching, a big scene up front. That is not what we do. And honestly, it is not what Jesus did either. He sat with people, spoke truth, and sent them home whole.
Deliverance, the way we practice it, is the renewing of your mind. Paul put it this way: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Freedom comes when truth meets the lie that has been running your life.
Jesus said, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” That is the whole method. Truth, prayer, and people who stay with you after. If you want the full teaching first, start with What Is Deliverance?
Most bondage starts with a sentence. Something someone said, something that happened, something you decided about yourself on the worst day of your life. We find that sentence and hold it up next to Jesus.
The Truth Will Set You Free · John 8:32
These are the four things we see most. Whatever yours is, you are not the first person to bring it here, and you will not be treated like a project.
Worthless. Unlovable. A mistake. Words like that get spoken over people early and they stick. We go back to what God says about you and keep saying it until it sticks louder.
Abuse, loss, violence, betrayal. Trauma leaves fingerprints on how you think, sleep, and trust. We pray gently, go at your pace, and never push you to relive anything for the sake of a moment.
The drink, the pills, the screen, the cycle you keep swearing off. We pray, we open the Word, and we help you build real accountability around your freedom, including recovery help when you need it.
Shame says you are what you did. Jesus says otherwise. A lot of freedom starts the first time someone hears their story out loud and does not walk away from them.
Spiritual warfare, for us, is truth against deception. Not people against monsters. The lie loses its grip when the truth gets louder.
Every deliverance conversation follows the same simple shape. Nothing is rushed, and nothing happens that you have not agreed to.
It starts with listening. What is going on, how long it has been going on, and what you have already tried. No assumptions and no labels.
We find what Scripture says about the exact lie you are facing. Not random verses. The truth that answers the thing you have believed.
We pray with you, out loud and with expectation. Sometimes it is quiet. Sometimes there are tears. It is never a performance.
Freedom is kept by walking it out. We follow up and connect you with pastoral care, prayer support, and real community.
Deliverance conversations happen under the care of our pastors and elders. Evangelist Jason D'Ambrosio carries much of our pastoral care, and Apostle Johnny Ova teaches on freedom from the pulpit often. If you want to hear how we talk about it before you ever reach out, listen to a few of our deliverance sermons.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.
Luke 4:18Jesus read those words in Nazareth and told the room they were fulfilled that day. Freedom is not on hold for some later date. It is available now, in the Kingdom that is already here.
Deliverance comes with a lot of baggage. These are the honest questions we hear most, answered plainly.
Call 631-818-1919No. There is no shouting, no spectacle, and nothing done to you without your consent. It is a conversation, Scripture, and prayer with a pastor who cares about you. Our hope is that you walk out lighter, not shaken.
We take the Bible's language seriously and we read it in its own world. When Scripture talks about Satan, demons, or unclean spirits, we understand those words as the forces of accusation, deception, trauma, and oppression that really do grip people. We do not teach that people are haunted or controlled by creatures with personalities, and nobody here will tell you something is living inside you. The fight is truth against deception, and Jesus already won it.
Anyone who feels stuck in something they cannot break on their own. Lies about who they are, trauma, shame, addiction patterns, or fear that will not let go. You do not need to be a member of Sound of Heaven to ask for help.
Yes. What you share stays with the pastors and elders walking with you. Nothing is announced, posted, or brought up in a group setting.
No. We pray and we teach, and we also believe God works through doctors, therapists, and recovery programs. If your situation calls for professional care, we will encourage it and keep walking with you through it. Many people do both, and we are glad to pray with you while you see a counselor or doctor.
