Every Wednesday night we open the Bible together, ask real questions, and work out what the text actually says. Come sit with us. We meet at 7 PM at 375 Commack Rd in Deer Park, in person or online. The events calendar always shows what this week holds.
Wednesday night at Sound of Heaven runs on a monthly rhythm. One week we worship, one week we pray, and most weeks we open the Bible and study it together. Same time, same address, same family.
A whole night given to worship and the presence of God. No sermon to rush toward. Just room to sing, pray and listen.
Led by Elder Renee Joseph. Bring what you are carrying. We pray for each other by name and the whole room carries it together. It is where our prayer ministry gathers the whole church to pray.
Led by Evangelist Jason D'Ambrosio. One subject, followed through Scripture from start to finish, with time for your questions at the end. Bring a Bible, a notebook, or just your phone.
A lot of people quit reading the Bible because somebody handed them verses without the story around them. We do it differently. Every Wednesday study asks the same three questions before it ever asks what a passage means for your Monday.
The Bible is God-breathed, and it was written through real people, in real places, to real audiences. When you read it that way, the hard parts start to make sense. Jesus comes into focus as the clearest picture of the Father we will ever get.
Want a head start before Wednesday? Our free Bible studies walk through Scripture the same way, one passage at a time.
The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being.
Hebrews 1:3Who wrote this, who heard it first, and what was going on in their world? A letter to a church in Corinth was real mail to real people long before it was a verse on a coffee mug.
Where does this passage sit in God's story? We pay attention to the move from the old covenant to the new, so we stop reading Moses and Paul as if they were saying the same thing at the same moment.
Jesus is the final and perfect revelation of God. If our reading of a verse makes God look nothing like Jesus, we go back and read it again. Slower this time.
Jason leads the Bible studies on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Wednesdays of the month. He also preaches Sunday mornings on rotation, co-leads Fight Club with Elder Caesar Santos, and carries a lot of the pastoral care in this house. When he teaches, you can tell he spends his week with people, not just with books.
A study might take one subject, like forgiveness or who the Holy Spirit is, and follow it through Scripture from beginning to end. He teaches, then he opens the floor. Nobody gets embarrassed for asking a question here.
Apostle Johnny Ova built our teaching on one conviction: Jesus is the full and final revelation of the Father. Wednesday nights carry that same conviction, just around a smaller table.
We LOVE Sound of Heaven Church! The worship music is contemporary and uplifting, the sermons are always divinely inspired. We are always greeted by warm welcomes whenever we visit and we always enjoy the live broadcasts whenever we cannot make the service in person. The Wednesday night Bible study at 7pm EST can be attended in person or online and is always educational and enriching. They offer so many resources from child care to prayers to education and more. We are so excited to explore even more of what they offer as we grow in our walk with God amongst other devoted Christ ones. The Holy Spirit is certainly at work in this ministry and we cannot wait to see where God takes them.

4.9 from 79 Google reviewsWednesday is built for real life. Some weeks you can make the drive to Deer Park. Some weeks you are stuck at work late or home with a kid who has a fever. Either way, you are part of the night.
In Person
Come a few minutes before 7, park in the lot, and find a seat anywhere. Nobody saves rows and nobody will put you on the spot.
Online
Every service streams on our website and on Facebook, Wednesdays included. Open Sound of Heaven Live at 7 PM on your phone, laptop or TV, keep your Bible next to you, and study right along with the room.
Wednesday is one night. If it lights something up in you, here is where the rest of the week can take it.
Short, honest answers. If yours is not here, call us at 631-818-1919 and a real person will pick up the conversation.
No. Some people on a Wednesday have read the Bible cover to cover more than once. Some opened one for the first time last month. Jason teaches so both can follow, and the questions from newer people often make the night better for everybody.
We start at 7 PM and wrap up around 8:30 PM. On study nights Evangelist Jason D'Ambrosio teaches one topic through Scripture, then there is time for questions and prayer. You can take notes, listen, or jump into the conversation. All three are fine.
The 2nd, 4th and 5th Wednesdays of the month are Topical Bible Study. The 1st Wednesday is Worship Night and the 3rd Wednesday is Night of Prayer. All three start at 7 PM, and the events calendar always shows what is next.
Yes. Wednesday nights stream live on our website and on Facebook, the same as Sundays. Open Sound of Heaven Live at 7 PM. Plenty of people join from home and still count this as their weekly study.
No. Wednesday night is open to anyone, any week. Foundations is a 12-week course on Thursdays at 7 PM that lays the groundwork of the faith, and it is the first step on our path into serving and leadership. Many people do both.
Takes about a minute. Tell us a little about you and somebody will be watching for you at the door.
Bring the Bible with the coffee stains on it, or bring nothing at all. Sundays are at 9 and 11 AM if you want to meet the whole family first.
