You've driven past us on Commack Road on the way to Tanger Outlets or a Saturday run to Stop & Shop. That building at 375, right by the Grand Plaza, is Sound of Heaven Church. We've called Deer Park home since 2011. On Sunday at 9 or 11 AM, most Deer Park families are five to ten minutes from our front door.
Deer Park · Since 2011
When your church is in your own town, it shows up in ordinary places. The family from the row behind you on Sunday is in line next to you at the Grand Plaza on Saturday. The kids your kids sit with in Kingdom Kids might be in their class on Monday. When life gets heavy, the person who comes to pray with you lives a few minutes away.
That's what we want to be for Deer Park. More than a building you pass on Commack Road. A family you belong to, on Sunday mornings, on Wednesday nights, and on the ordinary days in between.
We take the Bible seriously, and we take people even more seriously. You don't have to have it all figured out to walk in.
You drive these roads all week. Here's how each one ends in our parking lot.
We're right on it, between Deer Park Avenue and the LIE, by the Grand Plaza with Kohl's and Stop & Shop and just down from Tanger Outlets. If you live along Commack Road, follow the numbers to 375.
Commack Road begins at a light on Deer Park Avenue, just south of Bay Shore Road. From the south end of town, turn there and head north. From the north end, turn east on Long Island Avenue by the train underpass and take it to Commack Road.

Coming from somewhere else on a Sunday? Exit 52 on the expressway is Commack Road. Head south past the Edgewood Preserve, over the tracks, and you're here.
Times depend on the lights. Most of Deer Park is about 5 to 10 minutes from 375 Commack Road. From the Deer Park train station, it's about five minutes: west on Long Island Avenue, then left on Commack Road.
Here's a Sunday for a Deer Park family, from your driveway to the short drive home.
The 9:00 AM has you home before lunch. The 11:00 AM gives you a slow morning first. Each service runs about ninety minutes.
The lot is free and there's no members-only row. Grab any spot. Our First Impressions team is at the door to say hello and point you toward coffee.
Bring the kids to the Kingdom Kids desk and we'll check them in securely. Every volunteer back there is background-checked, so you can actually sit and listen.
The worship team leads first. Then Apostle Johnny Ova or Evangelist Jason D'Ambrosio opens the Bible and teaches it in plain words, with the context left in, always pointed at Jesus.
That visit, that I thought was just going to be that one day, turned into 4 years. The welcoming and comfort I felt on day one will always be memorable. Everyone was so welcoming, it felt like family. There's no judgement, everyone approaches you and knows you by name, which makes you feel included.

Christmas Town and the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive are built for the people around us. When your church is down the street, it's easy to say yes, whether you come to help or because this year your family could use the help. Bring the neighbors too.
Our biggest community day, free and open to everyone. A live nativity, hot chocolate, photos with Santa, lights everywhere, music, food trucks, and the Christmas story told the way it should be.
Christmas Town NovemberEvery November we partner with the community to give away thousands of turkeys to families who need one. No paperwork, no questions. If that's your family this year, we'd love to help.
Turkey DriveEvery year there's also the Veterans Appreciation Dinner, a free sit-down meal for veterans and their families, plus food outreach and more through our community outreach. Dates change year to year, so watch the church calendar or call us at 631-818-1919.

We will never knock another church, and there are good ones in this town. Here is who we are: a Spirit-filled, non-denominational church that has been on Commack Road since 2011. We teach Scripture in its history and context and read all of it through Jesus, and we are close enough to show up for you during the week.
Start with Foundations, our 12-week class on Thursday nights at 7:00 PM. From there, CORE is where you find a serving team. Living this close also makes it easy to say yes to a Wednesday night, Christmas Town or the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive.
A few more places worth a look before Sunday.
