Sundays fill up fast for Dix Hills families. Travel games, skating at Dix Hills Park, grandparents coming over for dinner. Church should fit into that, not fight it. Sound of Heaven is at 375 Commack Road in Deer Park, about 10 to 20 minutes down the road, with services at 9 and 11 AM and Kingdom Kids running during both.
Deer Park Avenue runs right through Dix Hills and Commack Road runs along the east side. Both bring you straight down to us. Use whichever one is closer to your house.
The moment we walked through the doors of SOH, we received a warm welcome, a Christian welcome. SOH is family oriented and centered on meeting people where they are at.Michele Bayley · Google review
That's what we want for your family too. The kids know right where to go, the two of you get to sit together, and nobody rushes you out the door when it's over.
Here is a Sunday for a Dix Hills family, start to finish. Come at 9 or at 11. Each service runs about ninety minutes, so the 9 AM still leaves the whole afternoon for games and practices.
The lot is free and nobody has a reserved spot. Someone from our First Impressions team will meet you at the door and point you to the coffee.
We walk you to Kingdom Kids for a secure check-in. Every person serving with the kids has passed a background check.
The worship team leads the first part of the service. Sing along, sit and take it in, raise your hands or keep them in your pockets. Nobody is watching you.
Apostle Johnny Ova or Evangelist Jason D'Ambrosio opens the Bible and teaches it plainly, context and all. Want to go deeper? Foundations meets Thursday nights.
Most parents ask two things first: what happens with the kids, and is there something for me too. Kids and teens have their own ministries every week. Women meet in Women of Virtue, and men have Fight Club.
Kids
Worship and Bible teaching made for kids, during both the 9 and 11 AM services, with secure check-in at the door.
Meet Kingdom Kids
Teens
Teenagers carry a lot. In WAVE they find friends who build them up and leaders who answer real questions straight.
Meet WAVE WomenWomen who open the Word together, pray for each other and walk through every season of life side by side.
Meet Women Of Virtue MenA brotherhood for men, co-led by Evangelist Jason D'Ambrosio and Elder Caesar Santos. Honest talk, real accountability, and men who show up for each other.
Meet Fight Club
…for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
We read the Bible the way it was written. Who wrote it, who it was written to, what covenant they lived under, and what it meant to them first. Then we read all of it through Jesus, because He is the clearest picture of the Father we will ever get.
It does not stop on Sunday. Wednesday night at 7 PM is where it goes deeper, in person or online, and it is an easy drive down after dinner.
Still wondering about something? Call 631-818-1919 and a real person will pick up or call you back.
From the east side of Dix Hills, take Commack Road south across the LIE at Exit 52 and stay on it until you see Tanger Outlets and the Grand Plaza. From the west side, take Deer Park Avenue south under the LIE at Exit 51, turn left on Long Island Avenue, then right on Commack Road. Most Dix Hills homes are 10 to 20 minutes away.
Yes. Kingdom Kids runs during both the 9 AM and the 11 AM service. Check-in is secure, and every kids volunteer is background checked before serving. Teenagers have WAVE, our youth group.
Plain, honest Bible teaching from Apostle Johnny Ova or Evangelist Jason D'Ambrosio. We look at history, culture and covenant so you understand what a passage meant to the people who first heard it, and we read every page through Jesus. Hard questions are welcome.
Every Wednesday at 7 PM. The first Wednesday is Worship Night, the third is a Night of Prayer, and the second, fourth and fifth are a topical Bible study led by Evangelist Jason D'Ambrosio. Come in person or join online.
Start with Foundations, a 12-week class on Thursdays at 7 PM that covers what we believe and why. From there, CORE is where you find your place to serve. Our outreach days are another good way in: the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive every November, Christmas Town in December and the Veterans Appreciation Dinner. Watch the church calendar for dates.
Some of our best days happen outside a Sunday service. They are open to everyone. Come serve with us, and invite the family next door.
It takes about a minute. We will have someone at the door looking for you and a spot ready for your kids.
375 Commack Rd, Deer Park, right by Tanger Outlets. Sundays at 9 and 11 AM, Wednesdays at 7 PM. Bring the kids and bring your questions.
